1. Cancellation charges
In case of cancellation, the following charges will apply and are calculated against the total invoice:
Cancellation requests must be sent in writing through our secure email form. Any stricter supplier-specific condition disclosed in your quotation or booking confirmation will also apply to the affected service.
2. How the cancellation date is determined
The effective cancellation date is the date and time on which Tamarind Holiday receives a clear written cancellation request from the lead traveller, the person who made the booking or the authorised travel agent. A telephone or WhatsApp conversation should be followed by written confirmation so both parties have an accurate record.
3. Supplier-specific conditions
Some hotels, villas, flights, trains, cruises, event tickets, festive-period reservations and special activities require non-refundable deposits or apply stricter cancellation terms. Where such conditions apply, we will disclose them in the quotation, invoice or booking confirmation. Those conditions will apply to the affected component in addition to this general policy.
4. Amendments and rebooking
Requests to change travel dates, passenger names, hotels, room categories, transport, meal plans or activities are subject to availability and supplier approval. Any price difference, amendment fee, cancellation charge or non-refundable cost will be explained before the revised arrangements are confirmed.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist with a postponement or alternative arrangement, but a change cannot be guaranteed and may be treated as a cancellation where suppliers do not permit an amendment.
5. Refund processing
Where a refund is due after applying the above charges and disclosed supplier conditions, it will be processed after the relevant suppliers confirm and return the refundable amount. Bank, card, currency-conversion and remittance fees that cannot be recovered may be deducted.
Processing times depend on the payment method, supplier response and financial institutions involved. We will keep the lead traveller or authorised agent informed of material progress.
6. No-shows, early departure and unused services
A no-show occurs when a traveller does not arrive for a confirmed service without cancelling within the applicable period. Accommodation, transport, meals, activities or other services that are missed, declined or left unused after the journey has started are not refundable unless Tamarind Holiday or the relevant supplier confirms otherwise in writing.
7. Supplier changes and events outside our control
Weather, natural events, public-health measures, government action, strikes, transport interruption, safety concerns or other events outside reasonable control may require an itinerary or service to change. We will work with suppliers to identify a practical alternative where possible. Any additional cost, credit or refund will depend on the circumstances and the terms of the affected suppliers.
8. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance from the time of booking. Suitable cover should include cancellation, curtailment, medical treatment, emergency assistance, baggage, missed connections and travel disruption, together with any activities included in your itinerary.
9. How to request a cancellation or change
Use our secure email form with the lead traveller’s name, booking reference, travel dates and the change requested. You may also call or WhatsApp +94 74 270 4331 for urgent assistance. We will acknowledge the request and explain the next steps and any applicable costs.
